Eccentric Berkeley & the Exploratorium

We spent the morning in and around the interesting town of Berkeley and I went on into the city later to the Exploratorium for the afternoon - incredible but exhausting!

View from the end of the pier at Berkeley Marina. Across the Bay on a clear day you can see the city and the Golden Gate Bridge but it was a little misted over on this morning!

Sara with her gorgeous new camera!

Chubby little squirrel around the Cyprus trees.

The Ecology Centre in Berkeley where Sara and I being the eco-nerds we are had way too much fun.

Interesting mural in Berkeley centre.

Large music store with all kinds of paraphernalia.

Berkeley University

More of the beautiful campus

The Palace of Fine Arts, San Francisco

The Exploratorium - a massive warehouse with interactive displays on everything from sight and sound to magnetism and genetics. Really interesting and well presented.

Simulated weather systems in space - very cool!

A slightly clearer view of the Bay Bridge with sail boats underneath.

Charlie on the ferry as we leaving the city.

Alcatraz in the middle of the Bay.

High speed ferry from the city out to Vallejo, gorgeous views along the way and super fast!
