Colon, Panama

Sailing into the Port of Colon, Panama - waiting lines of cargo ships outside the harbour!
Another tropical downpour as we were coming in, but a refreshing break from the heat!

View from Life's A Dream in the Yacht Club over the Port of Colon

And at night...

Construction work on the boat next door.

Little kid in tender scouting out the place.

On the move in taxi in Colon, the busses are amazing artwork of garish airbrushing, just awesome!

Got our clearance to pass through the Canal rather quickly (only 2 days!), view as you head out to the canal. How long you wait directly related to how much you willing to pay!

Yachts anchored in the bay waiting to clear, some can wait two weeks or more.
Colon was really interesting place, high unemployment rates and bad rep for crime but found everyone we had the pleasure of meeting incredibly friendly and easy-going. Alot of rain, espicially in the afternoons, and by rain I mean torrential downpours, but makes for a very beautiful and green place!
